“Play is not a luxury, but rather a crucial dynamic of healthy physical, intellectual, and social-emotional development at all age levels.”

EcoKids Bilingual Preschools believes that education is the beginning of a journey full of discovery. In the big world, classrooms are the only place where children can reach, sit, play and work without constantly asking an adult for access.
That’s why the open ended play, that takes place in such spaces is invaluable to a child’s development and thinking; because here children can determine what to do, how to do it and what to use, therefore giving imagination and creativity free reign.
Threes are often described as being in transition. They more closely resemble 4 and 5 year old preschoolers than 2-year-old toddlers. What sets them apart from toddlers is there newfound ability to express themselves in words and ideas.
This ability opens up a whole social world. Play is the child’s
means of discovery, of communication and expression.
Play, for children, is not just recreation- it’s their approach to life. Every action is undertaken with the whole being: mind, body and spirit. Through play children discover the world around them and express how they feel, when learning how to cope with difficulty.
